The series of API ring groove checker inspect all types of API Ring seal Groove i.e RTJ’s Groove. It is a modified form of vernier caliper, used for checking OD, ID and pitch diameter of the Ring joint facings.

Pitch diameter=(ID+OD)/2+20mm

During RTJ’s groove manufacturing, RTJ’s groove checking is an important criteria. Our RGC Caliper eliminate the headache of checking RTJ’s groove while machining. It saves rework & rejection cost of RTJ’s groove by giving direct accurate reading. 

The checking process of RTJ's groove with RGC calipers is simple, RGC is properly positioned on falt surface of RTJ's groove. The precision contact point of ball touches the angular portion of the groove. The RGC Caliper gives the reading. From this reading we can subtract/add some constant valve to obtain final drawing reading of RTJ's groove
